It’s always good to get your car prepared for the change of seasons, but even if you didn’t do this as we headed into summer, it’s better late than never. These are the GMC service tasks your car may need right now:

Fluid Check

Have you been using your AC a lot lately? If you have to crank it all the way up to get any cool air, it could be because there isn’t enough refrigerant in the tank. You’ll want to have that checked, along with all of the other fluids to make sure that they are at the right levels.

Battery Test

It’s very important that you can count on your battery no matter how hot it gets. This is why testing it to gauge its charge is a smart idea. If it is running low, this gives you the chance to replace it.

Air Pressure Check

Even if your tires look fine, it’s possible that their air pressure isn’t at the right level. When you drive around on underinflated tires, this creates a dangerous driving situation. It will also hurt your fuel economy, which is something to think about if you’re planning a road trip.

Oil Change

Another way to boost your gas mileage is with an oil change, as clean oil allows an engine to run in optimal condition. This will also improve your car’s power and overall performance.

If your car is in need of any of these tasks, you can make an appointment with the service center at Zeigler Buick GMC of Lincolnwood. We can also put your car on a schedule and let you know when any future work is due.
